Getting Here

From Lander:

Head north on Hwy 287 out of Lander. 13 miles. Slow down to 40 mph as you get near Fort Washakie. Hines General Store will be on your left. Turn right onto Ethete Rd (at the end of Hines's parking lot), go 1 Mile. Turn left into the first (of three) entrance to Fort Washakie School. Proceed past the administration building on your right, follow the road as it curves around by the football field. The Fort Washakie Charter High School is on your immediate right in two modular buildings. Parking is available in the front of the buildings.

From Riverton:

Head south out of Riverton on Hwy 789, go 1.5 miles. Bear right on Wyo 137, before the Wind River Casino, go 2.5 miles driving past the turn-off to St. Stephens School and Mission. Continue on 17 Mile Road until it dead ends, go 14.5 miles. Turn right onto Hwy 132, go 2.5 miles. Turn left at the stop light onto Ethete Road. Continue west onto Ethete Road, go 5 miles. Turn right into the third entrance of Fort Washakie School. Proceed past the administration building on your right, follow the road as it curves around by the football field. The Fort Washakie Charter High School is on your immediate right in two modular buildings. Parking is available in the front of the buildings.

From Shoshoni:

Head south out of Shoshoni on Hwy 789, go 8 Miles. Turn right onto Wyo 134, go 24 miles. Turn right at Wyo 133, go 11 miles. You will cross Hwy 26 and the Wind River. At the stop light in Ethete, turn right onto Ethete Road, go 5 miles. Turn right into the third entrance of Fort Washakie School. Proceed past the administration building on your right, follow the road as it curves around by the football field. The Fort Washakie Charter High School is on your immediate right in two modular buildings. Parking is available in the front of the buildings.

From Jackson/Dubois:

Head south out of Dubois on Hwy 26/287, go 42 miles. Bear right at the Hwy 287 intersection, go 15 miles. Slow down to 40 mph as you enter Fort Washakie. Drive past the Tribal gas station on your right. Turn left onto Ethete Road (right before Hines Store), go 1 mile. Turn left into the first (of three) entrance to Fort Washakie School. Proceed past the administration building on your right, follow the road as it curves around by the football field.
