Can I get a real High School Diploma from WeAVE?
• Yes, your diploma is a bona fide document that you completed all of the required courses to graduate from a Wyoming high school. Our diplomas are accepted by every college and university in the United States. We are accredited through the North Central Accreditation (NCA) and CITA.

Are your classes easier than regular high school classes?
• No, our classes are not easier that regular high school classes. In WeAVE classes you will have the same content and materials that you would in any high school in the state of Wyoming. Most students will say that they are harder because you have to be motivated enough to complete them. However, students also say that they remember more than they did in regular class.

What Does WeAVE Stand for?
• WeAVE is an acronym for Wyoming E- Academy of Virtual Education.

What is the difference between WeAVE and Nova Net?
• There are several differences between the WeAVE learning platform and Nova Net; however, we encourage you to examine our Demo course on the WeAVE webpage and see for yourself. We think that you’ll see a remarkable difference between the two. In fact, we think that you’ll like ours better.
• Every WeAVE class has a real, Wyoming certified teacher on the other end working closely with you to help you through your classes. Nova Net does not offer that.

Do I have to be a full time student to take courses from WeAVE?
• No. Many of our students take courses part-time from WeAVE as credit recovery. Also we have students that take courses from us because their school does not offer a particular class.

Do you provide computers?
• We provide computers to students who are homebound and for whatever reason, cannot make it to our school.

Can anyone be a student at WeAVE?
• No. We screen every applicant to ensure that our system is the best fit their educational goals. Students have to be self-motivated to learn and to engage themselves in their classes.

Is it mostly about reading and taking tests?
• There is a lot of reading that’s involved in your course work. However, through our content provider Class.com, most courses are highly visual with graphics, audio, and video.

Will I still be able to interact with teachers and other students?
• Yes! You are not alone in your classes. Although the school focuses on you as an individual student, you are in a classroom full of other students. These students may be from one school district or they may be from different districts across the entire state of Wyoming.
• You are often required to post messages to other students through threaded discussions or you may be encouraged to enter a chat room hosted by your teacher for lectures.

How will you know if I am actually attending my classes?
• We are able to see how much time you are spending in each course. In fact, we can see how much time you spend in the WeAVE school chatting, posting, reading, testing, and reviewing.

Is there someone I can talk to if I need help?
• Yes. WeAVE operates from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Also, each individual teacher posts office hours and many provide ‘after-hour’ numbers in case you need to reach somebody.
• If you send an email to your classroom teacher, you will usually get a response back within 12 hours.

Is there a library that I can access online?
• The WeAVE system utilizes Questia for our virtual learners. The Fort Washakie School library is also a Public Library. That means, if you have a public library card here in the state of Wyoming, you can utilize their book borrowing system.

How many courses can I take at a time?
• We work with you, your parents/guardians, and school counselors to determine how many courses you can take at a time. Most students enrolled in WeAVE average between four to five core classes and usually one to two electives.

What’s the first step in becoming a student at WeAVE?
• We prefer that you talk with your parents and high school counselors first. They will help you make the determination if WeAVE is right for you.
• Call WeAVE at 307-332-2380, ext 4200 or 2400
